Not only did Bill love Rocky & Moose, he loved all species. He would come by to watch the bats. He would even rescue the lizards that Rocky & Moose brought in the house. We will miss his loving spirit as a friend and neighbor.

I wish time would slow and special moments suspended in time. Unfortunately, they do not. The day I met you I knew you were a kind and sensitive soul. A person who adored Dee for her energy and passion for life. I am confident all the chapters of your life you handled with finesse. Rest in peace. Dee and Annie will keep you alive in their daily routines and remembering the joy you shared.

From Vikki Forster:
Deanna, here’s what I posted on the tribute board I’m not sure it got there because it kept saying if I went back, I was gonna lose it, but there was nowhere to go I just post what I posted.
Hey Bill time and miles made the years fly by but, life is a gift and you and Deanna were perfect perfect, and living it together! For us, the greatest thing in life are people you meet along the way- you were one if them! Rest easy now, I know Annie , Deanna and crew will be with you someday!
That’s all I could think of writing. It did come from the heart and I will donate to help you both out towards the end. Now go and start the next part of your life love and hugs.
Thank you Vikki....it was perfect!! 🥹 D.
I will never forget the day we closed on our house in St. Pete and our new neighbor came by flying an unruly kite (Annie), and we recognized each other -- turns out Bill and I had worked together many years earlier when I was with the Florida Coastal Management Program. I knew straight away that we had gotten lucky in the neighbor department!
I am forever grateful for the times we got to share -- from dinners in our respective back yards to Lake Louise Social Club gatherings to camping trips on both sides of Florida.
Bill, I will always think of you when we visit Manatee Springs. And when I hear Emmy Lou. Missing you and wishing you fair winds and following seas. -Heidi
Hi Bill....wanted to post a couple notes about what we said to each other;
Bill: "27 years together, we did something right, didn't we!"
Dee: "yes we did Sparkey, yes we did!"
Bill: "Im happy.......dont be sad."
Im carrying on with our plans. We spent the last two years working through our grief together. The sadness is getting lighter.
Rest easy......"We got this!"
Rest easy Bill,
The wind is at your back and the waters calm...
You will be missed by all who knew you. The State of Florida will miss you also and all that you did/tried to do for her environment.

27 Years!
Some of our best times was chasing Annie around Ft. Desoto!
