William Jeffrey "Jeff" Carnes
August 14, 1947 ~ April 11, 2021
Flawed but noble, Jeff was the oldest child born to Luke and Ruth Carnes.
By far the worst looking of the clan, he was followed by the best looking, his younger sister Mary Anne. Brother Keith (favorite child of Luke) was next, and finally came baby sister Karen which is when they hit perfection and quit!
Jeff grew up a "Lint Head" in Kannapolis, North Carolina, before moving to Tampa, Florida, to put out fires and save lives. When that wasn't enough, he decided to become a LAWYER (I know, right??) and along the way he operated 12,346 other businesses and had as many colorful stories to go along.
Jeff leaves behind his love for many years, his "Little Sweetie" Edith, his favorite daughter Elizabeth, son by law Randy, his fake daughters Mary and Patti, and their brother Rob. He will be deeply missed by his grandsons Joe and Nick and his favorite daughter's favorite daughter Olivia; Tyler, Carson, Mary-Cathryn, and "The Reefer", and his right-hand man Bobby, who managed him when no one else could.
