Warren Kelley Hedrick's Obituary
Hedrick, Warren Kelly, 88, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died on February 15, 2018 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Warren was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 26, 1929. He parents, both whom predecease him, were Robert and Mary Hedrick.
Warren moved to Florida in 1947. Warren leaves behind two daughters, Laura Purinton of Denver, Colorado and Valerie Cruttenden of Punta Gorda, Florida, along with five grandchildren Scott, Alex, Kendall, Wesley and Madison. Alex is the son of Warren’s predeceased son, Steven.
Warren lived a full life. He served in the Us Air Force for 3 years.
In 1952, Warren started as a Police Officer for the St. Petersburg Police Department, where he served 20 years. In 1972, Warren became an Investigator for the Public Defender of the Sixth Judicial Circuit and retired in 1991.
Warren Enjoyed restoring cars and riding motorcycles with the Blue Knights. He was the meaning of a true humanitarian by helping mankind.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
