Thomas Bernard McGrath's Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia and best friend of 45 years . He would tell everyone Pat was the best thing that ever happened to him .
Tom was born on June 3 ,1931 in Philadelphia Pa.He is survived by his children Tom McGrath, daughter Kim Tanner and her husband Bob Tanner , along with his stepchildren Michelle Paglione, Barry Giordano and Scott Giordano.
He is survived by his siblings
Dolores Liney , Frank Manganiello , Gary Cleveland , Carol Winkler , and Kathy Kenney
He was a proud Pop Pop to Tommy McGrath ,BobbyTanner, Ryan Tanner , John Giordano and Rachel Economou . He is a great Pop Pop to Dylan Tanner , Ryan Tanner , Gavin Tanner, Cody Tanner, Owen McGrath, and Emma Giordano.
Tom ‘s career was in sales , he had this unique skill to relate to anyone he met . Early in his career he traveled to many states and some countries working in the beer business and food sales. The majority of his life he worked selling clothing apparel in Florida. In 1985 he and his wife Patricia moved to Florida , where they spent many happy years .
He enjoyed playing golf and tennis , he loved sports and followed the
Philadelphia Eagles , and the the Tampa bay buccaneers . He never forgot his Philly roots and could always find someone close by wherever he was with Phill or New Jersey connections, and when he did he drew them in and he could get their whole life history and then he would share his.
Tom lived life to the fullest , had a wonderful sense of humor and some of the best one liners .
He will be remembered for the many friendships he made , advice and help he had given along the way and all his funny characteristics that came with knowing Tom McGrath . The world is going to be a much-quieter place without him in it.
The memorial service is Tuesday, January 31st, at 4:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
