Sylvia is my very close friend. I love her dearly with all my heart. My fondest memories of Sylvia are playing mahjong and marbles. Staying up all night and telling her everything. She will always be one of the most special person in my life. And I love her dearly. I am so grateful she has been part of my life for over half of my life!
Very sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing. We taught together at Ray Middle School. I have many fond memories of Sylvia, as well as some very funny moments. The funniest of them was in New Orleans during an NEA convention. Let’s just say it included a can of whipped cream, a waiter and Sylvia after one too many Long Island iced teas. I never saw a man run so fast. …with Sylvia close at his heels.
Sylvia & my mom, Jeanette Parzych were good friends for many years. In fact, Sylvia really saved my mom’s life in the early 2000’s. I will forever be grateful. She gave us many more years w my mom. She was unique! Hopefully she is at peace & the memory of her will be a blessing. RIP ❤️❤️ Stephanie Parzych
