My heart is filled with sadness 💔 that I have just learned about one of my best friend's passing. To all of his family, I give you my sincerest condolences and pray that you will remember Svante with the love that I had for him as a friend and father.
Although are lives drifted apart after the years went by, my thoughts would always come back to him and his family. He was there for me when my son was born and I was there for him when his daughters were born. I have many photographs and videos of him and his family if they are interested. One last amusing antidote to end my tribute to Svante ,
I took Svante to his first American football 🏈 game to the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course I had to explain everything to him. When the kicker came out for a field goal and missed, Svante said "how can a guy miss from only 30 yards away." I tried to tell him that a football was not the same as a soccer ball, he did not believe me, so the next day I took him to the local high school football field with my football. He said to mark off the 30 yard point and he would kick it right through the uprights. I told him that maybe just try with an extra point. So, all set up for the kick, Svante lined up for the goal and went for it, going in like a soccer ⚽ player and ended up on his his back! As he laid there on his back, I walked over to him and looked down, looking up at me he said "it's harder than it looks. "
Well my friend, I enjoyed every moment we had together and I know that you and I will enjoy each other's company once again.
