Stephanie Louise Hancock's Obituary
Stephanie Louise Hancock
Our beloved Stephanie went to rest in her Lord’s care on Thursday, May 21, 2020. She will be dearly missed daily by all who knew and loved her.
Stephanie was a positive, upbeat, lovely person with a great smile. Everyone who met her immediately recognized her as such. She never met a stranger and always had a listening, sympathetic ear for everyone.
She was a native of Key West FL and was born October 25, 1968. Her accomplished goals included completing her schooling at Key West High School and attending FL Keys Community College for graphic design. She loved to sing and dance, and was in the chorus and on the Pep Squad at KWHS.
She later relocated to St. Petersburg FL and continued to work on her goals of graphic design in designing and writing organizational newsletters. She was a volunteer for the American Lung Association.
She’ll always remain in our hearts and memories. What a special lady. We’re truly blessed to have had such a wonderful person in our lives that was so inspirational in showing how to overcome numerous challenges with dignity and grace.
Stephanie is survived by her siblings and their families:
Steven Hancock, Shelley Martin-Vegue, Michael Hancock, Edward Hancock, Tina Hancock and James Hancock, as well as a large extended family.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her loving parents Edward and Gloria Hancock, paternal grandparents Edward and Mary Hancock, and maternal grandparents Charles Dewey and Melitina Fernandez Riggs.
Rest easy loving soul.
The Family
Our beautiful Stephanie bravely fought the covid-19 virus which took her life in less than 2 weeks. As a life long Bible reader her favorite scriptures were Ps 23 and 37:10-11, Rev 21:1-6, and Matt 5:5. She expressed her belief she could withstand any adversity with God’s help, and stay faithful to inherit life and walk in his new paradise earth. It was this hope that sustained her in her fight against this terrible enemy.
She was entombed at Memorial Park in St. Petersburg June 2, 2020
