Stephanie was my little sister and best friend. She was incredibly understanding and realistic. She was challenged by health problems but rarely let them change her plans. She accomplished all of her goals she set for herself. I’m honored she let me help her with some of them as she did. She had a beautiful smile, even as a baby. People have always been attracted to her, and she would listen patiently to all and try to encourage them. It’s been said that some people never meet a stranger, and Stephanie was one of those people. She loved everybody, and it was almost impossible to “get on her bad side”. So many people would come up to her throughout her life and say that they were glad they met her, that she was inspiring. I will cry for her daily, but I know that she’ll be resurrected by Jesus as she believed, and will walk in the new paradise earth God will bring about soon. She was one of a kind and I believe she’s in God’s memory and will live again. She was a Bible reader her whole life and her favorite song was “Keep Your Eyes on the Prize”. Her favorite scriptures were Ps 23 and 37:10-11, Matthew 5:5 and Rev 21:1-6, which brought her great comfort. We read these over and over through her life. When she bravely fought the covid virus in less than 2 weeks at the end of her life, all she encountered, including her doctors, nurses and hospital staff, were inspired by her determination, grace and dignity. She will be missed beyond words.
