Shirley Marie (Vladu) Grandmason, 86, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1940, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and spent the majority of her life in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God. She shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ralph Grandmason. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
She is survived by her husband Ralph; her son, Jeff Grandmason; her daughter, Janice MacKinnon (Glenn); seven grandchildren, Cory, Megan, Nicholas, Dustin, Kyle, Bryce, and Brooke; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Grace, Emma, and Max. She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Jennifer Withers.
For more than 20 years, Shirley owned and operated R & S Ceramics and Gifts, where she shared her artistic talents and taught others the art of ceramics. She was a true arts and crafts enthusiast, always creating something beautiful with her hands. She had a special gift for making handmade cards and faithfully sent personalized birthday cards to family, friends, and members of her church each year — a tradition that touched many lives.
Shirley was a longtime member of Starkey Road Baptist Church, where she lovingly led the nursery for several years. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she served the Lord wholeheartedly in all she did.
She also found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially watching movies and old westerns. Her favorite character was Festus from Gunsmoke, a detail that brought a smile to those who knew her well.
Shirley’s legacy is one of creativity, devotion, kindness, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation is at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, at 10:00 am, with a Celebration of Life starting at 10:30 am. Interment will immediately follow.
