Sam was a friend before he became my brother-in-law when he married my sister Mary (R.I.P.). In several ways, he being older, he mentored me in activities outside of my beloved family. I saw him last a few years ago in Sam Joe’s restaurant in St. Petersburg as we past through the area. Carol and I enjoyed our time visiting with him.
