Rick managed our St. Pete condo for over 15 years. We were so saddened to hear of his passing. Rick was a wonderful, caring, hard-working man, we are so lucky to have known him and benefited from his dedication. Prayers to his family and friends.

I worked with Rick at Tourtelot Brothers Realty and then Tourtelot Property Management and Leasing for 27 years. That’s back when we both had brunette hair! When I started, there were three of us property managers and one part-time bookkeeper in a big office, we had real oak wood desk, DOS computers, floppy disks, big boxy monitors, and a dot matrix printer!
Rick was a great property manager, and a very special person too. He knew all about maintenance issues and how to solve them. He was a good communicator, and he could write a fine detailed descriptive letter or email. Rick was a true gentleman, soft spoken and kind, with a subtle sense of humor! Most all his property owners and tenants loved and appreciated Rick, and the few that were sometimes horse patooties, well, Rick mostly tolerated them!
I will forever honor Rick in my thoughts and prayers, he was a special guy who touched our lives in ways words can hardly express. When he retired from our company, he left a void in the office and in our hearts! I think that Rick is at the helm with the Angels, cruising into crystal clear blue heavenly waters. God bless Rick and his family.

As the owner of Tourtelot Property Management, I have known Rick for over 33 years. From the beginning, Rick worked Monday thru Friday and sometimes weekends to be sure our services to Tourtelot PM landlord clients were consistently done very well. Because Rick throughout his life loved fixing/updating anything & everything at home himself, he became extremely knowledgeable in the details of fixing & updating property right in the most economical ways. Over the years, virtuously all of our clients with whom he worked came to rely and trust his judgment. Much more than that, they learned that he ALWAYS CARED not just about fixing client’s properties and handling problems concerning tenant issues, but he REALLY CARED ABOUT PEOPLE. When it came to people (clients, tenants, venders, co-workers), he treated everyone with respect. In the office, Rick was consistently a true team member always helping on any situation when asked to do so. If there was a stressful situation, it was usually Rick who was the calming force. Rick rarely lost his temper even with those who did not treat him well. Whether at home or work, Rick was a very GIVING PERSON who over the years touched so many in good and positive ways --- and over the years, he became inspirational to me. I, like many others, can truly say, THANK GOD FOR RICK BARTLEY. My prayers go out for Dorre, his family, and friends, that they and all of us may have the faith to know Rick is now with God in Heaven and we can rejoice that we will see him again in the place where there is no pain & suffering. In the meantime, he will be sorely missed by so many.
We met Rick and Dorre and their family many years ago! Been together on several boating trips to various marinas and celebrate holidays and Sunday outings on our boats at Shell Island! We are still shocked for this news and keep Dorre and the family in our hearts. We are so very sorry for the loss of our dear friend and express our deepest sympathy! Bruce and Ines Griffith
