Patricia Ann Spiers' Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia “Patti” Ann Spiers (Lauro) announces her passing on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the age of 60 years. Patti passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center Mid-Pinellas surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Patti was born in Manhattan NY, to Enrico Lauro and Mary Curotto Lauro on October 12, 1957. Patti graduated Grover Cleveland High School in Queens, New York with the class of 1975. She met her husband Michael while on a trip to Florida in 1976. They were married eight months later on February 5, 1977. They both remained in Florida and raised their two sons Steven and Kevin in Pinellas Park FL. Patti was a twenty-nine year employee of Pinellas Central Elementary. Patti is survived by her loving husband Michael of 41 years, sons Steven (Courtney), and Kevin (Iris), a very special granddaughter Madison, Mother Mary Lauro, Mother in law Adele Spiers, siblings Tina (Joe), Joey (Jamie), Tony (Michelle), sister in law Peggy Altavilla, nephews Joseph "JT" Lauro, Tommy Altavilla, Joey Anchors, Christopher Anchors, longtime friends Rick and Joyce Kozz, and beloved cat and companion Buddy. Patti was preceded in death by her father Enrico "Harry" Lauro and father in law Jake Spiers.
Her sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed. Patti will long be remembered for her loving spirit and compassion toward everyone that had the opportunity to know her. The Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, May 27th at Memorial Park Funeral Home in St. Petersburg at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patti’s memory to Suncoast Hospice.
