I was a former high school friend and remember Patti with a beautiful way about her and we got to know each other in our last year of school. She had a camaro I think that she drove to school? We kept in touch for a short time since our life was just beginning at 18. I thought about what ever happened to Patti, and when facebook came about I looked her up but that wasn't until a few years ago. Facebook alerts people about birthdays. Her's was today. So I wanted to say Hi!. But I was sadden to read that she passed away. She truly was a spirit and her eyes always sparkled. May she reach down always to touch the family with her great spiirt and I know she was full of fun and love.

To Patti's family-I just found out this afternoon about Patti's passing. I am still in shock. I can only imagine what you are going through. I had so many fun memories with Patti. We became quick friends and i learned a lot from her in my PCE days. I always thought we would get together again sometime when we had more time. I am so sorry that I did not get the chance to see her again. She was a very special and classy lady. I know she loved her family so much! You are in my thoughts and prayers!

To Patti’s family- I just found out this morning about Patti’s passing. I was totally taken aback and so saddened. I am the other Patty Spiers who works for Pinellas County Schools. Our email addresses were one letter apart, therefore each of us received each other’s email frequently. Though Patti and I never met face to face, we chatted via email. Patti would write very funny things to me and always made me laugh. We agreed to get together for lunch someday. I am sad that that someday never happened. The last I heard from Patti was April 30th. My heart goes out to Patti’s family. I will miss our back and forth emails that always brightened my day.

Patti and I had something in common, we both like to shop! We had many conversations about the deals we got and the amount of items we bought for a small amount of money.
I visited her about three weeks before she died, we promised to go shopping when she
got better. I know now that God had a different plan. I could always depend on Patti to give me extra supplies for my students when they needed it. She always took time to answer any questions I had. Patti was special to me! When my sister died a year ago, she very supportive. I loved Patti, and I will miss her dearly!

So thankful that I had the opportunity to know Patti. Even if it was for such a short time. She made me feel so welcome when I joined the PCE family. I miss our daily chats about Italian food, our shared love of shopping, mazarros, love of Coke Zero and her calling me from her office. She told me so many great stories and she loved her family fiercely. Sending prayers of strength for her family. We love and miss you Patti!
