Will remember her lovely smile and spark in her eyes.
I have this memory of Aunt Pat from at least forty years ago. It echoes on for me still. You see, my brother and I had relatives who lived so far away - Aunt Pat and Uncle Herb and their girls. Every so many summers, we would wait at our grandmother's house for their arrival by car from a far-away sunny land called "Florida." As soon as their car would pull up, out would pop the girls like bouncing ping pong balls, running to see their grandma. I'd see Uncle Herb with this kind of impish grin (which he still has) greeting my dad and all, but I always got this very special greeting from Aunt Pat. She always had a big, infectious smile that let out not quite a laugh and not quite a sigh. And she would grab me and pull me close and nearly squeeze the air out of then little me. I could feel her joy and she made me feel very special. As the years passed by every time I saw her again, usually after a long time absent from her company, she would greet me the very same way (though it did get harder for her to squeeze me that much). The last time I saw her she did it again. And that special feeling echoes on for me still.
We are saddened by your loss of your Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Mother-in-law. Pat was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all. She lived life to the fullest! Cherish the good memories!
Sherri, I am very sorry for your lost. Even though we have not talked in year I thought of you and your family often. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Cathy Case
Nana was an amazing grandmother she always took interest in my life and was always there to listen to whatever I had to say. The memories nana and our family made will be some of the brightest points of my life. I remember the christmas we came and surprised them from colorado. Me and daniel were hiding outside their front door disguised as two Christmas presents, they opened the door and opened the presents we popped out and they were completely surprised and not expecting it to be their grandsons! Nana and pop-pop gave me this poem once and it has really helped me through the rough spots in life "God will do the rest" We asked the lord to bless you
as we prayed for you today
to guide you and protect you
as you go along your way
his love is always with you
his promises are true
and when we give him all our cares you know he will see us through
so when the road your traveling on
seems difficult at best
just remember we're here praying
and god will do the rest I love you nana and I miss you, you will always be in my heart
Pat, What a wonderful friend you have been to me over the past 40 years. From working together at First Park Bank and remaining friends after we moved to Georgia. We have had some really good times together and you will be greatly missed. I know we will meet again in Heaven and what a joy that will be. Peggy
My love for Pat is so strong, and we will miss her more than words can express. Our time at First Park Bank was special, we worked Hard but had many laughs. Our friendship has lasted through many years
always anxious to be together. One day we will be together again in Heaven.
Mickie
