Tuesday I was saddened to read of Pat's passing. Pat and I worked together for several years at the Parent Aide Program. We met shortly after she left the Mayor's office when she came to apply for my assistan's job. As we talked, I knew that I would be so lucky if she chose to work with me. She did and I was. I valued her calm professionalism and our friendship. The last time we spoke (a few years ago) was in the parking lot of a Seminole grocery store. We chatted briefly and parted. I hope she knew how much I valued her friendship!
I worked with Pat at the Bayfront Center / Mahaffey Theatre for years and we remained friends up through her work at Help a Child. She was a deeply spiritual person, so gentle. She looked for the absolute best in everyone. She had a keen sense of humor and adored her wonderful sons and Family. She left a lasting impression on everyone. An impression of goodness, kindness, patience, fortitude, tolerance, and love. May she rest in eternal and joyous repose! Heidi Hagedorn Sumner
