Titi Mercedes was truly an exceptional woman. Her unwavering love for God was evident in everything she did. She was a source of kindness and compassion, always caring about those around her. Her presence radiated warmth and positivity, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Even though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to live on, inspiring and guiding us through the memories and lessons she left behind. Titi Mercedes was a true gem, and her legacy will forever be cherished.
Everytime I would visit Mercedes and Tito, from the time I was child until adulthood Mercedes would always sneakily put a $20 bill in hand like a secret allowance. It was so sweet and so funny. I stayed with her over a summer semester while I was in college because I couldn't afford an apartment and the college housing was closed and she would pack me a paper bag lunch everyday. She is the kindest, most motherly person I have every met. She will be dearly missed.
When I think about titi, I can’t help but smile. Whether it was picking grapefruits off her tree, frying tostones, or making her top-secret mojito, she was always a source of joy and laughter. I’ll always remember her as a fiery and witty source of love and light. It warms my heart to think of her and papito reuniting and giggling up in heaven. My deepest condolences to the Aviles family. Sending endless love.

Mrs. Aviles was the kind of mom everybody wish they had. She was a great wife and a terrific mother. She was named Mercedes for a reason, because she certainly was first in class. It was a blessing that she got her family in Kentucky a few months ago. Her contribution to society was second to none. Rest in peace!
Siempre recordaré tu sonrisa y esa dulzura que te caracterizaba. Gracias por enseñarnos amor incondicional y mantener la unidad familiar, a pesar de la distancia. Siempre estuviste presente en nuestras vidas. Nunca olvidaré el día que cantamos muchas canciones infantiles en el carro en tu último viaje a Puerto Rico. My Titi Merce -- an amazing woman. Fun-loving, caring, and giving, Titi Merce is a great example of a godly woman who gave and cared for all who needed her without exception. I will miss her lively spirit and her family gatherings where we were fed, both physically and spiritually. I will miss you, Titi Merce. Thank you for your love and your friendship.

She is my favorite aunt. I will miss her dearly. Whenever I visited she made white rice with "tocino" and beans because she knew I loved it. I love you titi!
