A memory I cherish of Marvis is of the time she and I worked together in the ministry. I hadn't been baptized long and she guided me as to what to say to the householder; I learned so much from her! What a fine example she was, and I look forward to seeing her again in the new system.

Among the many things that will make me think of Marvis often is the smell and taste of fresh homemade muffins. She was an excellent (and generous) baker. I remember one time that a group from our congregation went to Kentucky to help another congregation and Marvis made a huge batch of muffins for our drive. Yum!
