Thornton, Marian Elizabeth, "Mernie", 87, of St. Petersburg, FL found peace on April 23, 2013. She was born on April 5, 1926 in Beckley, WV. Preceded in death by her husband David Thornton and her daughter Cynthia Thornton (Walker).Survived by son Michael Thornton and granddaughter/best friend Kathleen Walker; grandchildren Matthew Walker, Tanner and Abigail Thornton. A viewing will be held on Friday the 26th from 5-7pm at the funeral home with a service on Saturday the 27th at 1pm at First United Methodist, 212 Third St N St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
