Mom, You were a true lady. A sister, a wife, a mom, and a grandmother, dedicated to giving unconditional love to each of us. Man you were something else. You were a blessing to all you touched. So delicate to look at, but yet so strong; I'll never know how you did it. There were very few made from your mold. You never knew how lucky you truly were; you thought you were just average. Grandpa died too early. At 13, you played a parent role for your sisters and brother, doing whatever needed to be done. I guess that's how you became the most wonderful mother Cindy and I could ever have imagined. Dad loved you more than you will ever know. From the first time he saw you in high school, wearing that sweater he always talked about. His search was over. Now it did take him a while to wear you down. You weren't easily convinced...You were his everything. I remember you sitting on his lap on the back porch, looking down the canel, just talking. They just don't make relationships like that anymore. You were all he needed. You made sure Cindy and I we had everything and more; material and emotional support. I laughed with you, and cried to you. You were always there, always. You stayed remarkably strong through Dad and Cindy's sickness. More than anyone could imagine or ever match. I'll never know how you did it. You dressed yourself up, each and every day. Even when there was nothing going on that day, you were dressed to the 9's. You were beautiful inside and out. I am at piece with you leaving me. Dad and Cindy need you more than I do. You raised me well and strong to stand on my own. They have been waiting, and it's time. I always promised to make sure Matthew was taken care of, and I will live up to that promise. You go now, I will never forget all you did for me and the influence you had on my life. I am the man I am, because of you. One day we'll all be together. I will never forget your eyes and the way you smiled. I love mom. Michael
