Manuel DeJesus Campos, 77, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. Born in Guatemala, Manuel lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and deep devotion to his family. The son of Salvador and Fermina Campos, he grew up surrounded by the affection of his six siblings. A hardworking and loving husband and father, he was a man of firm character, yet carried a gentle side reserved for those he loved most.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Liliam, and his children, Alejandro, Damaris, and Diego. His grandchildren Gabriel, Ali, Sofia, and Jasmine were his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In his youth, Manuel played professional soccer in Guatemala, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. He enjoyed staying active and always maintained his love for the sport. He was also known for his gift for storytelling, sharing memories, humor, and wisdom that brought his family together. Time with his loved ones was his greatest joy, and he created countless moments that will be remembered with warmth.
He will be remembered for his dedication and the lasting impact he left on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A service for Manuel will at held at 5:00pm on Monday, March 9 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
