Our Dad/Papa Lou was a wonderful, fun, goofy, generous, caring, and loving man who loved our mom and all of his children and their families. We all loved Papa Lou and will miss him tremendously. He lived life to the fullest. We know he is in heaven having a reunion with all his family and friends who have gone before him. Everyone who knew him was blessed by his presence. God gave us one of His best! We love you Dad/Papa Lou!
My dad loved Susie so much and he was like a father to her always. He especially loved her cooking!

God Our Father
We are all here together not to mourn, but to Celebrate a Life of a wonderful and loving man, that was such a blessing to all of us for his 93 years that you blessed him with. Thank you for having him meet the love of his life, our mom, our Nana, while she was just barely out of high school (Edited update as per mom “still in high school”). They lived together with so many dreams, adventures and much love for each other. He was also such a loving, supportive, caring and role model for us, his children, Lisa, Debbie, Mike, Joey and me. We have so many great memories growing up in this house which was a house full of fun and love, (and yes some fighting here and there) as a family. Dad always wanted to do things with us - some of which was taking us on family vacations, camping trips, going to all our baseball games, and weekends at our property which we all looked forward to, except for Debbie.
For others here, he is known as Papa Lou, their grandfather and great grandfather. And how Grand he was. He loved all of his grandkids so much and I know they, as all of us have, so many fond memories of him, being at all their birthdays, our Thanksgivings and Christmases together, and even taking each of the grandkids on their tradition of going to Disney World for a weekend camping trip.
I pray that he may be looking down from Heaven at this very moment, as I strongly believe he is, seeing how happy we are to be able to celebrate his wonderful life and seeing the great loving family that he and mom grew and were meant have, by your Grace and love for them.
We remember that we almost lost him over 25 years ago due to a serious illness he went through. But you told him it wasn’t his time, and our stubborn Italian dad pulled through as he knew he had to have more time with his family to make more memories. And this past week, although it was his time to go to Heaven, he held on strong so that we can get him back home as his dying wish was to pass away at our home. Not only did he hold on to get home, our loving Dad held on one last night so that he and mom could have one last night together. And we thank you for that special moment for them both.
Thank you Lord again for this time for us to be able to celebrate the life a such a great man.

Over 50 years of friendship began when Al met Lou at Honeywell. Our family’s grew close, raising five children each, sharing camping trips, fishing days and countless laughs.
Even as miles came between us our bond never faded.
We will miss you, dear friend —forever in our hearts until we meet again.

My brother in law, Lou, was very special to me even though he and my sister lived miles away. They often made visits back to us in Pittsburgh which our Mom also greatly enjoyed back when she was alive. While visiting with them, it was so comforting for me to see Lou's love and devotion to his family and know that he is a man that one can trust, which meant a lot to me. A favorite memory for me will be the Danube River cruise with my sister and Lou. His presence in our lives will be greatly missed. from Aunt Julie
I didn't get to see Uncle Louis much, but I still remember when we went to Florida when we were little to visit and we went to Busch Gardens. Ten kids in one house. Mercy!
I remember when your family visited us when we lived in LaPlace, LA and your pop up camper was set up in our backyard, and we all wanted to sleep in it!
And, I used to tell people how my Uncle Louis would travel all around, just to ride roller coasters, even until his 70's--and, maybe his 80's. *grin*
