Lonnie J. Gresley, 64, of Kenneth City, Florida, passed away on February 10, 2026. Born on March 16, 1961, in Niles, Ohio, Lonnie carried his Midwestern roots with him throughout his life, building strong connections and leaving lasting impressions wherever he went.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gresley Sr.; his mother, Theresa Gresley; his sister, Darlene Gresley Virtue; his brother, George Gresley; his beloved wife, Sherri Squire Gresley; and his nephew, Christopher Virtue.
He is survived by his loving stepdaughters, Terri Hague Silvernail and Cheri Hague Monaghan (John); his cherished step-granddaughter and step-grandson; his brothers, Donald Gresley Jr. (Dianne) and John Gresley (Fran); his sister-in-law, Sheryl (Babe) Gresley; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Lonnie was the proud owner of Green Horizon Lawn Care for over 35 years. Through his business, he built not only a livelihood but a reputation for hard work, dedication, and pride in everything he did. He believed in earning trust the old-fashioned way — through consistency, reliability, and showing up.
He had a great love for NASCAR and could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers with passion and excitement. When he wasn’t working or watching a race, Lonnie enjoyed karaoke, bringing laughter, music, and unforgettable memories to those around him. He had a spirit that filled a room and a personality that made people feel welcome.
Lonnie’s life was one of resilience, loyalty, and heart. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his love of family, his sense of humor, and the joy he found in the simple things.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
