I was saddened to learn of Bruce’s passing. He called me in California a few months after Jan passed away and expressed a desire to get together. It was an honor to be his best man for him and Jan in a clandestine wedding (before graduation) on 10 August, 1957 in a Lutheran church near Washington, D.C. It was a beautiful union of two wonderful people.

Hi family, I am heartbroken to hear of Mr John's passing. I only knew him from being computer pen-pals, but I felt I knew him. He was a great man, and I wish we had lived closer to where we could have spent time together. I loved getting his e-mails and catching up with what was going on in his life, and Mrs. Jan's before she passed. I am going to miss those letters. Sincerely, John and Dee Dee Bradley of Lucedale.

"JB" and I spent 4 years together in the 16th company. Unlike he and Roger, I retained my Navy blue and retired after 26 years as an O-6 in 1985. I was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, VA in 1986 and am now technically retired but still active in ministry, JB and I enjoyed an active email correspondence until about a year ago. I will miss his wit and wisdom. I will remember him, Jan, and his family often in my masses and prayers. May God bless you all.

I always felt very welcome with John and Janice (My first cousin) when visiting them in Florida early in my retirement. He made us fell so much at home during our visits. I enjoyed John's forwarded e-mails very much and I believe he enjoyed those I sent. We have lost a very proud fly boy.
Cordell (Corky) Krabbenhoft
Although we both threw our white hats in the air and put on Air Force uniforms, we only crossed paths a few times. He flew twice as my KC-135 navigator, but JB was already known as "CQ". He was always on the aircraft HF radio using his own amateur radio call sign to talk to any one on the air in any part of the world. Always a bubbling personality and ready to do anything for any body.
