I am saddened today to learn that one of my beloved professor and mentors in college ; a great and kind man Dr. Sidhu. He enjoyed taking pictures, meeting many celebrities, gardening, and loving his family. What great times I got to share lunches with him through the years with Cindy Carlson. Dr. Hitwant Sidhu was a faculty member at IUPUI and left an enduring legacy through his selfless dedication to helping both faculty and students. A leader in faculty governance, Dr. Sidhu's influence persisted even after his retirement, in the scholarships established in his name. Through this scholarship, Dr. Sidhu's profound impact on education and his unwavering support for aspiring professionals continue to shape the field of physical education students at IUPUI.
We think of Sidhuji as a gentle Soul and that we are lucky to have been accepted by his family in Indianapolis and Clearwater. We fondly remember the many trips to garden centers and baseball stadiums.
Sidhuji will continue to live in our hearts.
