Mr. Herman R. Christiansen's Obituary
Herman R. Christiansen of St Petersburg, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Seminole, Florida. He was 88.
Herman was born January 23, 1931 in Washington, D.C.; the handsome son of the late Herman and Lorna Christiansen. He proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army in September, 1950 and was honorably discharged in September, 1952 at Fort George Meade, Maryland. He worked as a maintenance worker throughout his career with various companies and organizations including the Y.M.C.A.
Herman is survived by his significant other of 30+ years, Cindy Gregory and seven children; Laura Garofalo (Gregg), Pamela Bernard (John), Patricia Gregory (Greg), Kenny Christiansen, Brian Gebhart, Michele Christiansen and Andrew Gregory. He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren; Camie Jones, Heather Christiansen, Michelle Christiansen, Brian Chicoine, Jennifer Chicoine, Mandy Perry, Chelsea Joseph and Kristian Garofalo and eleven great grandchildren.
Immediate funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. He will be laid to rest in Bay Pines National Cemetery with Army Honors.
