Mrs. Helen Jean Scott Snyder's Obituary
Helen Jean Scott Snyder went to be with her Lord on August 21st, 2017. Jean was born on October 19th, 1923 in Findlay, Ohio, to Marguerite Hamilton Thomas and Otho Thomas. She was a graduate of Findlay Senior High School in the class of 1941. In 1942 she married William E. Scott of Lafayette, Indiana. They were blessed with four daughters. In 1976 she married Francis Snyder of South Bound Brook, New Jersey.
She is predeceased by her husbands William “Bill” Scott and Francis “Frank” Snyder; daughter Nancy Fugett; son-in-law Thomas “Tom” Hintz and grandsons Joseph Hintz.
She is survived by her daughters Sandra “Dee” Hintz, Largo, Florida, Vicki Penne, St. Petersburg, Florida, Deb (Kevin) Davis, Largo, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; numerous step children and step grandchildren.
Helen worked for Ohio Bell Telephone, Illinois Bell Telephone, as a crossing guard in Melrose Park, Illinois, Honeywell and PepsiCola in St. Petersburg, Florida. She also worked as a volunteer for seven years in the office at Transfiguration Catholic Church, St. Petersburg, Florida and as a volunteer at Faith Lutheran Church, St. Petersburg, Florida. A visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, August 25th from 5-7pm, with a Prayer Service at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Transfiguration Catholic Church on Saturday, August 26th at 10am with a committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
