She and her husband moved to Ironwood, Michigan, in 2004, and bought an old farmhouse built in 1890 to renovate. She and Albert were very involved with HOPE Animal Shelter, Festival Ironwood and other community events. She was also heavily involved with fostering animals and helped dozens find forever homes over the years. A longtime animal lover, she and Albert had several Shetland sheepdogs, which they trained for agility. Edna also loved to cook for any army and was famous for her banana bread, macaroni and cheese, and homemade chicken noodle soup. She and Albert moved back to Florida in 2016 and lived in Kenneth City.
