I would like to share this as the Daughter of a strong willed mother. I have some of that also, but my mom was always there for us thru good and bad, although some memories are still suppressed, I do remember her teaching me how to cook, which I did not want to, teaching me many things with my stubborn resistance. We had fun during travels to the northern UP, she tried skiing out west, then found a love of snowmobiling and then for a small town community. She loved not only her shelties for years, but loved many other animals also.
My mom and dad endured many ups and downs thru the years, but always managed to make it work, they had a internal companionship love for each other❤️❤️, if you did not see on the surface. My mom loved to cook and we looked forward to a few favorites, such as Banana breads every year, mac and cheese casserole her way was unique, and some past time unforeseen favorite, canned spaghetti with hamburgers, add onions and you have a totally different taste and it was good!!!
My mom may not have been able to cook for awhile, but most likely passed peacefully listening to the food network. She would have celebrated spiritually her 76 birthday the next day and my dads birthday on the 21st and their 55th Anniversary on 4.1.2020. I miss them both so much. But I feel they are looking down on us and have asked to protect us from all that we dealing with here in this time.

We were unfortunately not able to celebrate her life yet, but we will find a way and it will be nice.
I want to thank everyone who loved her and were there thru all these times.

Edna's friendship to me was invaluable. When the ducks were floating at Festival Ironwood, Edna and I were as proud as could be. She will be missed dearly. Love Sonia Bergquist and her daughter Chrissy. A donation in her memory has been made to HOPE Animal Shelter.

I first met Edna and Bert on a picket line as we protested the City of Ironwood's refusal to settle a contact with the public safety department. We became good friends and they were always involved in find raising for the H.O.P.E. animal shelter, Festival Ironwood and other community events. Like their Facebook name "EdnaBert Tatum" it's impossible to think of them apart, the blessing now is they are together once more. Edna and Bert are greatly missed. Their passing leaves a hole in my heart and a void in our community. They were missed here when they moved to Florida and the finality of their passing makes me sad. My sincere condolences to the family and many friends of Edna and Bert. They are missed.

Edna and Bert were our wonderful neighbors in Kenneth City. Our cat, Roo, loved them so much... especially napping with Bert when she was not following Edna's every move! It also warmed my heart to know that my husband found such a good friend in Edna, especially since I had to be away from home so often due to work.
Your parents will be greatly missed... and never forgotten.

Bert and Edna were amazing volunteers when they lived in Ironwood. They would shop all the after holiday sales and load up on Christmas candy for our annual Free Gingerbread House workshop. Area children had a wonderful time and Bert and Edna got so much joy out of seeing the children make their creations. They were always so pleasant and kind to anyone they met. I also remember them at Festival Ironwood for years smiling and laughing together while volunteering. They’d go around and collect donations for the duck pick every year. Great folks, we’ll miss them both. I know they are busy up in heaven, so glad they are together again!
