Mr. Donald A Curry's Obituary
Curry, Donald A., 85, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, April 3rd, 2015. He was born on January 31, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT to William and Margaret Curry. Don furthered his education and moved to New York to work at Columbia Records in Manhattan. He once owned a gift shop in Fairfield, CT. Don loved spending time at the cottage in Riverhead, Long Island. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wiliam Curry Jr and partner of 50 years, Jay Hess. Don will be missed by loved ones and many friends including his partner Larry Daugherty; sister Marjorie Banyas, Enfield, CT; brother Stanley Curry, FL; niece and her husband Cynthia and Thomas Roche, Enfield, CT; nephew Roger Bechtel. Among other survivors are Brian Roche and wife Meredith, Michael Roche and wife Candace and Steven Roche and girlfriend Brittany Hestad. A gathering will begin at 10:30am with funeral service at 11am on Wednesday, April 8th at Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s memory to All Children’s Hospital, St. Petersburg or to a charity of your choice.
