Dear Janet and Missy (and Peanut too) I am so very sorry to learn of David's passing. You know how much I adored him, and will miss him. My love and prayers to you. Love Paula Orandash
Janet and Missy, I want you to know how much Dave's friendship meant to me. I knew I had a friend from the first day I met Dave. He was such a wonderful person. He was at his happiest when he was with people. He loved people. Always making sure they felt like they belonged. I remember the time we all went to the dinner theater. I had never been to anything like that before, but Dave put me at ease and I had a wonderful evening. I will always remember that.
Dave, you will truly be missed.

So sorry to hear of David's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Janet and Missy, we were so sad to hear about Dave. So many fond memories of your family come to mind. While watching a political convention coverage, David was so amused at the state of Alabama always passing when a vote came up. “Alabama passes” became his catch phrase whenever we greeted each other! Who could forget seeing David putting miles on at the restaurant pouring coffee back in the day! Missy, you should still be that junior high girl at Warren. Did we read that you have a grandchild? What fun your kids and grandchild must have brought to your dad! Janet, we are thinking of you and your family with lots of prayers as you say goodbye to one of Monmouth’s good guys. So sorry for your loss. John and Kala Reynolds
I am very fortunate to have known Dave. He was simply " Good People " in my book. I don't think he ever met a stranger. He was very easy to become friends with and that is exactly what he was to me. I will truly miss him and the times we were able to share coffee and conversation with the crew at DD, where he was the nucleus of it all. Dave introduced me to so many good folks which also became good friends and acquaintances. I will miss you, Dave. My thoughts are with family as they tread through this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He would visit me at the drive thru at a Bank of America at Five Towns. He was the most pleasant, friendly, and happy person I know. My husband and I would see him with his lovely wife occasionally at Sonny’s. The world lost a great man there, but heaven gained a wonderful angel. My thought and prayers go out to his entire family. May you find peace.
This family has meant so much to me throughout my life. I have wonderful memories of Janet and Dave at Countryside Bible Church, as well as spending time with all of the Meling family as I was growing up. My prayers are with all of you, Janet, Missy, Bob, Carolyn, Michelle and Mike and families.
