When I began house hunting, I described to Uncle Chet how we were looking to purchase an apartment building like he and my Dad had done. I said my husband and I planned to fix one up and put in some sweat equity into it for a real estate investment. He chuckled and couldn’t believe I knew what sweat equity was in my 20s. I will never forget the way we smiled about that.
Uncle Chet would sometimes pick me up at the airport and take me to my hotel and make sure I got to my room ok when I was traveling on business in Tampa. He would even have a soda with me at the hotel before leaving and make sure I was all set. He had such a kind heart and it was nice having family around to look out for me when I was away from home.

Although we have been apart for over 50 years, I fondly remember you as a great basketball teammate and friend. Your great laugh is still heard in my mind. May God bless you my friend.
