Betty Lanore Hughes' Obituary
Betty Lanore Hughes, a beloved resident of Pinellas Park, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at the age of 81. Born Betty Lanore Lister on October 16, 1942 in Bloomfield, Iowa she moved to Florida 51 years ago, where she became an integral part of the community. She attended culinary school in Tampa, Florida. She was a mother, daughter, wife, sister, and beloved friend to many. She was a business owner and owned a children's clothing store in Seminole, Fl, named Tanya K's, and a cafe in Largo, FL named Nifty 50's. Betty was giving, caring, determined and fierce. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Hughes, who she shared 2 children with, and her parents, Hubert Vern Lister and Aleen LaVonne Cook. She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Donaldson, her son Kevin Hughes, her sister Diana Andrade, and her brother, Terry Lister. A service will be held on December 20th at 12:30 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
