Today would have been my sister's 82nd birthday. Betty passed away just hours after Jaime and I got to the hospital in Pinellas Park, Florida on Oct. 4. Even though I know her suffering is over and I am happy for that, as you can guess I am still emotionally devastated. Betty was such a wonderful older sister. She cared for me and protected me in so many loving ways. I will cherish those memories forever. Happy Birthday Betty. I miss you.
Betty (Lanore) was my second mom. She treated me as if I were her child. Her daughter Tanya and I grew up together and I spent many happy times with her family. She was a strong, fierce and sweet woman who will be dearly missed.
