Bennie Rex Bennett's Obituary
Bennie “Rex” Bennett, 72, a proud native of St Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord on May 5th, 2016. Rex was born on December 29th, 1943. He was a Veteran of Foreign War and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and Shriner. Rex was a retired produce manager and had a love for life as big as his love for fishing. Affectionately known as “fish-man” around town, he’d go out of his way to put a smile on your face. He had a heart of gold, was kind, generous, and enjoyed helping his family and friends. Rex never met a stranger and had a story for everything and with that, came the most amazing advice. But above all, he was a loving father and wanted nothing more than to see his children happy, successful, and respected. He is survived by his loving Mother Lois Bennett; Sister Sandra Godwin; Brother Buster Bennett; His children, Paul Bennett; Deborah Bennett; Renee Bennett; And numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren that he loved. He was met in Heaven by his Father Lester Bennett; his Sister Joyce LaPinto; and his Great Granddaughter Isabella Bennett.
