Afroditi Detsis' Obituary
Detsis, Afroditi, 87, passed away peacefully Oct. 8, 2016. She was born in Milos, Greece on July 30, 1929. Afroditi was preceded in death by her husband, Michael. She is survived by her daughter Poppe & George Apostolou; her daughter Eva & Mike Collins; her son Jimmy & Litsa Detsis; her daughter Anna & John Tischner; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Zoe; 1 brother Stamatis. “Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, goodbye for now. Your fun & loving spirit lives in every one of us. Until we meet again.” There will be a visitation from 6 to 8pm (Trisagion at 7pm) on Thursday, Oct. 13th at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33709. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, Oct. 14th at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church, 3600 76th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice or St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church.
