We miss you so much
Serving alongside Pastor Yvetteo was more than just ministry—it was a masterclass in grace, compassion, and unwavering faith. She didn’t just preach the love of Christ; she lived it in every gesture, every word, every quiet act of kindness.
I remember one bitterly cold day at the food pantry. I was shivering, as I often did, but trying to push through. Without hesitation, Pastor Yvetteo took off her own jacket and wrapped it around me. No questions, no fuss—just love in action. That jacket became more than fabric to me. It was a symbol of her generosity, her selflessness, and the way she saw people’s needs before they even spoke them.
I will always treasure that jacket. But now, I cherish it even more. Because it carries her warmth, her spirit, and the memory of a godly woman who gave without limits and loved without condition.
Pastor Yvetteo didn’t just serve—she inspired. And though she’s no longer with us in body, her legacy wraps around us like that jacket did around me: comforting, enduring, and full of grace.
I am deeply honored to have known this amazing woman - Yvette Carter. Whether going with her to chemo, church, a banquet, or Bible Study -- or serving under her leadership in feeding ministry, she was my friend and an inspiration to me (and everyone she met) as she gave everything to follow Jesus and serve others as He had directed her. Yvette, we will miss yo, but we will carry on your legacy. Love, Jeannette
