Bill was more than my brother-in-law. He was my brother in Christ, a partner and fellow minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and my friend. Bill modeled a life devoted to his natural and spiritual family, fueled by a passion to bring as many others as possible into His Father's house, going into the highways and byways, compelling them to come in. He did not faint at getting into the trenches with those who were downtrodden or oppressed, always ready to roll up his sleeves and help them through the messy stuff of life.
Now Bill has finished his race and is experiencing the fullness of Jesus' words to His disciples: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3 (ESV)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV
