William Lee McDade's Obituary
William Lee McDade, 73 of Largo, Florida passed away on November 4, 2024. William was born in Leon, West Virginia on February 23, 1951, to George and Dorothy McDade. William married Kathryn (Kathy) on January 1, 1972.
William was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Southern Ohio Coal after 29 years and the West Virginia Department of Highways after 10 years of service. William was a lifelong member of The American Legion Post #0023. He was an outdoor sportsman and found joy in working with his hands whether in a garden or his garage. He was a constant tinkerer.
William is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy and nieces, Danelle McCombs and Charity Weaver (husband, Tim and daughter, Emma), nephews, Michael Dunlap (daughter, McKenna) and Robert Dunlap (wife, Georgia). William was predeceased by his father, George McDade, mother, Dorothy Clark, sister, Vonda Lee Cottrell and nephew, Herb Cottrell.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon, West Virigina on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 1pm.
