William E Johnson's Obituary
William Ernest Johnson, known affectionately as Bill, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 90, in Clearwater, Florida. Born in Carroll, NY, Bill spent his career dedicated to engineering and management, working for Daniels and Jones for 27 years before continuing his professional journey at GE and Lockheed Martin Marietta Specialty Components for 14 years.
Bill was deeply involved in his community, serving as the Worshipful Master at the Masonic Lodge St Petersburg #139. His passion for the outdoors and classic cars was evident through his active participation in the Old Salt Fishing Club and the Suncoast Mustang Club. These hobbies not only brought Bill immense joy but also allowed him to form lasting friendships and a strong community bond.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara, and their four children, Kim Nugent, Timothy W Johnson, Rosemary Jones, and Tammy Hall. Bill's legacy continues through his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene L. Comstock Johnson Reichenbach, his father, Robert O. Johnson, and his sister, Patricia Mae Johnson Poyet.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on February 8, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm, honoring Bill's life and contributions. All service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5750 49th St N St Petersburg FL 33709. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as a devoted family man, a respected professional, and a committed community member.
