William Langston Holland, Sr passed away on November 20, 2018. Langston was born in St. Petersburg FL July 16, 1936 where he attended local schools, graduating from St. Petersburg High School in 1953. He attended the University of Read Obituary
Langston was my best friend when I attended North Ward School in St. Petersburg for 3 years in 4th, 5th & 6th grades. I was a transplanted New Englander in the mid-to-late 1940's when we both lived on Snell Isle. Langston even visited my home in New England one summer. Although I continued my schooling in Massachusetts, when Langston's high school class planned a trip to Cuba in the early 1950's he somehow managed to get me invited on the trip and we went as roommates. We always had fun together in those days, but drifted apart when he went to Duke and I went to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I am saddened to hear of his passing and offer my condolences to his family.
