Chandler, William A.
Passed away July 13, 2018 peacefully at home in Pinellas Park, FL. He was born February 11, 1932 in Sayre, PA to the late Allen B. Chandler and Ernestine J. (Meckel) Chandler. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vivian; son Randy Chandler (Ryllis) of Pinellas Park, FL; daughter Margene Doloresco (Randy Bennett) of Ulster, PA; grandchildren Aaron Doloresco, Joel Doloresco (Jenny), Ashley Doloresco (Jake Martell), Ben Chandler, Sarah Chandler, Christopher Bellinski (Caitlin) and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Joan Shoemaker and Barbara Walters of Waverly, PA; Ellen Fravel of Montgomery TX; brother-in-law Vernon Vanderpool and his wife Pearl of Sayre, PA; sister-in-law Clarice Chandler and husband David of Shunk, PA; sister-in-law Lois Chamberlain of Cranberry Township, PA; Sharon Vanderpool, wife of brother-in-law Douglas Vanderpool (deceased); Rick Young and sister-in-law Inez Young (deceased) and many nieces and nephews.
William graduated from Athens High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean War. He then went to work for the Ingersoll Rand Company for 43 years as a Senior Systems Analyst. William was a member of the United Methodist Church for 65 years and was very active in the choir and still attended weekly practice with his son.
Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5750 49th Street, St. Petersburg, FL on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 10:00AM.
