William A. 'Bill Burns' Obituary
Burns, William A. 'Bill', age 82, of St. Petersburg, passed away May 16, at his residence. He was a native of Philadelphia, PA and moved to this area in 1989 from Bensalem, PA. He was a retired truck driver for Acme Grocery's in PA. When he came to this area he helped start Your Auction Inc. in St. Petersburg where he later retired again. He attended Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in St. Petersburg and was a US Navy veteran of WW II. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1597 in Croydon, PA and the American Legion in Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Locale # 500 and the National Rifle Asso. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Emma; a daughter, Margaret Clements of St. Petersburg; a son, William Thomas Burns of Bristol, PA; a brother, Thomas Burns of St. Petersburg; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
