Mr. Willaim A. Small's Obituary
Small, William A. "Bill" 83, of Brooksville, formally of St Petersburg passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family on June 7, 2009. He was born in Biddeford Pool, ME on Dec 30, 1925 and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II aboard the USS George Washington. Bill moved to St Petersburg in 1947, with his wife of 49 years, Dolly, who predeceased him 1994. He retired from Anthony Distributors in 1987 and moved to Brooksville . Bill is survived by his four children, Pat Layton, Fred Small, Pam Small (Watson), Penny (Rick) Fortunato; six grandchildren, Kim (Bryan) Clevenger, David Ogletree, Stephen Fortunato, Elise Small, Erica Small and Tiffany Fortunato and one great granddaughter Katie Clevenger. He was a life long member of the St Petersburg Loyal of Moose#1145 received his Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1979 and served as a Governor of Largo Moose Lodge #2205. He played softball most of his life and finished as a member of the Kids & Kubs, was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed life immensely. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice.
