Warren Stewart Bates' Obituary
Warren Stewart Bates was born October 7th, 1931 in Minneola, New York. He moved to St. Petersburg, Florida when he was 2. Graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1949. He enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. He joined the St. Petersburg police department in January of 1954 where he served for 20 years retiring in January, 1974. On August 17th, 1956 he married Jacqueline Sellers and they were married for 30 years. He passed away on September 2nd, 1986. He was survived by his wife and 3 children, son Mike (Hudson, Co.), daughter Patty (Rock Island, Il.) and daughter Cindy (Ft. Wayne, In.) He will be buried along-side his wife, Jackie at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 @ 11:00 AM.
