Virginia R. Jones' Obituary
Virginia Rhines Jones was born in Ridgeway, PA on June 13, 1921. She was predeceased by her first husband Frank W McDermott and second husband, Richard Kingston Jones. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. McDermott, of Tampa, FL and stepchildren, Cheryl Bottass, Janet Jones, and Richard K. Jones, Jr. She attended St. Petersburg High School and St. Petersburg College. She instructed the Dorothy Carnegie course for women and assisted with the Dale Carnegie Sales Course. She also sold these courses to local department stores and businesses. She wrote several books, which received good reviews, under the pen name Julie C. Heather. She was a member of the Clearwater Pen Women, after she sold six of her paintings. She was also a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in St. Petersburg.
