Mrs. Violet Dean McGuire's Obituary
Violet Dean McGuire, 81, of St. Petersburg, FL went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 25, 2012. She proudly served in the US Air Force HQ 34th Air Division, and received the National Defense Service Medal. Born on September 30, 1930 in Roanoke Rapids, NC, and was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star, served in the Presbyterian Women's Club, and a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church. Deanie is survived by her children: Patricia Bodmer and husband Chris, Christina Barber and husband Thomas, and Charles McGuire Jr and wife Sue; 7 grandchildren: Kristin, Lena, Christopher, Miranda, James, Tyanne and Sierra; 8 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Trent, Logan, Hayden, Robbie Jr. and 3 on the way; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their extended families. The family will receive friends at the Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5750 49th St. N, St Petersburg 727-527-1196 on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 5-7:00pm, with the Funeral Service being held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:00pm.at Memorial Park. Immediately following, the graveside service with full Military honors will be at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park 4002 N. 50th St., Tampa, FL 813-626-3161 where she will be laid to rest along side her husband, Lt. Col. Charles A. McGuire.
