Victor N Della Rocco 's Obituary
Victor N. Della Rocco, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Victor was born November 16, 1931 in Richmondville, New York to the late Victor and Leta Mae (Mackey) Della Rocco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Della Rocco and Roger Della Rocco. Vic was also predeceased by his niece Kimberly Della Rocco Kennedy and long-time friend and companion Virginia Relyea.
Victor grew up in Schenectady, New York and graduated from Draper High School. After graduation, Victor enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served in the Korean War. Following his honorable service, he returned home to Schenectady and attended and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College. After graduation he went to work as a draftsman at the General Electric Company until his retirement.
After retirement, Victor moved to Orlando, Florida and Tarpon Springs, Florida before settling in Seminole, Florida. Victor passed away after spending the last 18 months in Freedom Square Nursing Facility, Seminole, Florida.
Victor enjoyed reading the daily news and articles on new cars and new car designs. He liked to cook, and especially enjoyed food preparation. In his leisure time, Victor enjoyed traveling around towns and cities in Florida. He enjoyed his coffee in the morning along with Italian toast. In the evening, Victor liked reading the paper in his easy chair or doing paperwork at his desk. He also enjoyed spending time on his boat. In addition, Victor was a big Frank Sinatra fan and really enjoyed classic movies.
Victor is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Arlene Della Rocco of Hillsborough, New Jersey; sister, Carol DeLorenzo of Clifton Park, New York; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Terry Mattioli of Scottsdale, Arizona; son, Darrell Della Rocco and one grandson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Victor will be missed by all.
