Veronica Searles' Obituary
Searles, Veronica A. 'Vera', 81, of St. Petersburg, passed away Monday March 28th at Ellenton Hospice House in Palmetto. She was a native of Roosevelt, NY and moved to this area in 1980 from Long Island, NY. She retired after 30 years as an accountant with Double Day and Field & Stream publishing in Long Island, NY. She was a Roman Catholic and a noted author and writer of science fiction and mild horror. One of several books published was 'Married to a Fisherman'. She was also a member of The Survivor's of Pearl Harbor. Survivors include her niece, Barbara Sarro of Ellenton; a close friend, Margaret Bronson of St. Petersburg; four sister-in-law's, Mae Freebody, Louise Losee, Ann and Daphne Searles; and several nieces and nephews.
