Ms. Vera D Bronson's Obituary
Vera D. Bronson passed away at home in Dunedin on Thrusday, October 30th under the care of Suncoast Hospice.
Born in Pennsylvania on February 24th, 1921, she moved to Florida in 1969 from Chicago. She served with the Women's Army Corps for three years during World War II, had a long career in banking and retired as the loan officer of the First Bank of Treasure Island in 1980. She was an active member of the Treasure Island Islettes for almost 30 years and formerly help several positions in the organization including president, treasurer and secretary. She is currently a parishioner of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater and a member of its women's club. For mahy hears prior to moving to Dunedin, Vera was a member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church on St. Pete Beach and sang in its choir. She was also a former member of the Treasure Island Action Club and the All Children's Hospital Guild, Beach Branch.
Vera was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived for four of her five children: Carol Waitman (John) of Palm Harbor; Mary of Dunedin; Robert (Valerie) of San Diego, CA; Janet Mahowski (Thomas) of Seminole; her 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; her brother John Delegram of Ellsworth, PA, along with many cherished friends and relatives, including numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert Bronson, in 1999 and her eldest child, Ronald, on October 29th, 2014.
