Velma Laughlin's Obituary
LAUGHLIN, Velma M., 96 of St. Petersburg, FL went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2022. Originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area, she moved with her husband, Frank, to St. Petersburg in 1952. She worked as a secretary for 22 years in the Pinellas County School System until retirement. As a believer by faith in Jesus Christ alone, she faithfully served her Lord for more than 50 years relying throughout life on her faith in God. Preceded in death by Frank, her husband of 40 years; she’s survived by her sister-in-law LaRue (Alex) Van Norstrand, three children, Charlie, Wayne, and Janelle Sams, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the National Wildlife Foundation, Big Cat Rescue, or Suncoast Hospice Care Center South Pinellas.
Funeral Services provided by Memorial Park with visitation at 2pm on Friday, June 10, 2022 with Service and Interment to follow at 3pm at the Memorial Park Chapel, 5750 49th Street North, St Petersburg, FL. Dress is casual.
